C’est lors de la conférence trimestrielle de Nintendo que Satoru Iwata a déclaré qu’un nouvel épisode de la série des Super Mario Bros débarquerait sur 3DS. Ce dernier sortira pendant la prochaine année fiscale, soit entre le 1er avril 2012 et le 31 mars 2013.

Pour l’instant, tout ce que nous savons c’est qu’il s’agira d’un épisode en 2D et en scrolling horizontal. Le PDG a par ailleurs avoué que la firme voulait sortir un maximum de titres phares sur la 3DS afin de booster ses ventes.

Je profite juste de cet espace disponible pour vous signaler que Mario, personnage emblématique du jeu vidéo, fête aujourd'hui ses 25 ans. Et il n'a pas pris une ride ce con ! C'est en effet le 13 septembre 1985 que le premier Super Mario Bros a fait son apparition dans nos boutiques.
Il deviendra le jeu le plus vendu de tous les temps avec plus de 40 millions d'exemplaires écoulés. Seul Wii Sports, encore un jeu Nintendo, a battu ce record en 2009.
Pour information, sachez que le constructeur nippon s'apprête à sortir une édition anniversaire de Super Mario Bros sur Wii au Japon. Rien n'a été dit quant à une éventuelle distribution hors de l'archipel.
